In A Nutshell, Just What Is Gluten All About Then

Gluten is not actually a protein as such. Actually it is two proteins. For the next couple of minutes, do sit back and enjoy your consumption of just what is gluten all about. And do not worry, there is no danger of overconsumption here. Regard this short little note as worthy and healthy food for thought. Gluten combines two proteins that are mainly found in barley, rye and wheat. Given these natural food sources before your eyes, perhaps you are already given the impression of just what type of food products emanate from gluten.

But gluten is something else. It works like glue. This happens among all your processed food products. It is what gives your favorite consumables its shape and texture. You cannot deny that your attraction to your favorite candy bar is linked to its shape, size and texture, not so much its taste (although that’s pretty good too). And what about the all-time favorite crisps and French fries? In other countries they’re called just simply chips.

Don’t you just love the crunch your crisps make when you slip it into your mouth? And what about the convenience of your oven baked French fries? No need to peel potatoes, and no need to worry about how they’ll turn out in the end. They’re, like, just there. You just have to watch your oven for a bit otherwise you’ll burn your fries to a cinder. And in any case, it only takes a few minutes once you’ve warmed your oven up to its correct temperature.

Naturally, gluten proteins nourish plant embryos during the processes of germination. Plants grow up healthily enough. But you throw up if you’re not too careful. Now, if you’re particularly sensitive to gluten, you need not worry. You still get to enjoy your food just like everybody else, even though you’re going gluten free. Yes, you can enjoy a good packet of crisps without the gluten. And you can enjoy French fries without the gluten.

Alternative sources of grain now being used to put together all your favorite foods are corn, buckwheat and millet. And if you’re particularly fond of an ice cold one on a hot summer’s night, then know this too. You can now enjoy an ice cold gluten free beer. It’s very nice, it’s got a mildly fruity flavor and its very close to your alcoholic cider too.
