What Is Pulse?

Pulse is a group of readers of the Seth books by Jane Roberts who are interested in exploring reality and consciousness, mainly through email list interactions and live Yahoo!Messenger chat sessions (Yahoo!Messenger is free to download).

Although there is some discussion about Seth's concepts, the Pulse group is mostly action oriented. We attempt to apply these concepts to our day-to-day lives. We also rely on channeled material and exercises from contemporary sources—most from the list members themselves.

Pulse is a "closed" Yahoo!Groups email list dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for these explorations which include channeling, online energy "Pulsings," past life and gestalt connections,and explorations of other realities. Energy exercises are done twice weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings at 9 p.m., Eastern Time, using Yahoo!Messenger.

Note that this is not a typical "New Age" group. While we share many common interests such as healing, ESP, Tarot, etc., we tend to be non-dualists and are not interested in the "good versus evil." "ego versus Holy Spirit" types of metaphors. Nor are we interested in "healing the world's ills." Instead, we are interested in personal change and reality creation.

Do-It-Yourself Experiences

Pulse is about experiencing, about direct participation rather than simply listening in an audience. Seth said it well when he stated:

"I can only write a portion of this book. You must complete it. For "The Psyche" is meaningless except as it relates to the individual psyche. I speak to you from levels of yourself that you have forgotten, and yet not forgotten. I speak to you through the printed page, and yet my words will rearouse within you voices that spoke to you in your childhood, and before your birth.

"This will not be a dry treatise, studiously informing you about some hypothetical structure called the psyche, but will instead evoke from the depths of your being experiences that you have forgotten, and bring together from vast reaches of time and space the miraculous identity that is yourself."

Can I Join?

If you are unfamiliar with online energy work, you are welcome to "test the waters" by joining us for one of our online exercises. This might help you decide if the list is for you. If so, drop us a line. 

A letter of application is required for consideration to join the email list. Prospective members are considered on a case by case basis. Mutual trust and respect is essential. Each applicant must write to the list manager, using his/her real name, and be willing to share information with the entire list. If you believe that your goals and ours mesh, send a letter of application to the list manager. Tell us a little about yourself, your location, how long you have read Seth, and why you'd like to join Pulse.
